A Spire Cloud server has been provisioned for [End User Company Name] and is now ready for use. Follow the steps below to access and configure your environment.
Accessing Spire Admin
Go to https://endusername.spire-cloud.com and log in using the same email address you use for Spire Central.
You will be prompted to create a password upon your first login.
If your Spire data, reports, links, and images are currently hosted on a local server, use Spire Admin’s Archive Tool to migrate them to the cloud server.
This process will also transfer all users, passwords, and settings.
Installing the Spire Workstation
The Spire Cloud server has been deployed with the latest mainstream version of Spire.
To ensure compatibility, install the matching version of the Spire Workstation.
You can download the appropriate workstation installer directly from within Spire Admin, as shown in the example below.
Connecting to the Cloud Server
Once the workstation is installed:
Launch Spire on your desktop.
Click the down arrow beside Server and select Edit Server List.
Add your server using the provided URL:
https://endusername.spire-cloud.comSave your changes and connect to the server.
The cloud server automatically updates whenever a new version is released.
When this occurs, users will be prompted to upgrade their workstation accordingly.
Verifying Data and Functionality
After migration, confirm that all data and features are functioning correctly:
Check the data:
Customer list
Inventory list
GL account list
Check the users:
Verify that all users exist and are active
Check attachments and history:
Verify a few inventory attachments
Ensure email history exists to confirm media folder migration
Testing Spire Cloud
Ensure that all modules are available in Spire Desktop.
Confirm that all lists in Spire Desktop appear populated.
Test the most commonly used Spire stock reports and all customer reports to ensure they work as expected.
